Crystals are crafted in Crystallizer or Advance Crystallizer. Each recipe requires 200 mb of (heavy) liquid Naquadah.

Stargate Upgrade Crystals

Classic Stargate can be upgraded to Universe, Milky Way, Tollan, or Pegasus Stargate. After crafting an upgrade crystal, right-click the classic Stargate with it.

You can see all types of Stargates in the Technological blocks and all gate variants in the Stargate variants sections.

The upgrade is a one-time action and cannot be undone. Once you upgrade the gate, you can’t change it to another one. Only gate variants can be changed.

Stargate Variant Crystals

First, you must craft a general Stargate Variant Crystal, which can be later crafted into a specific variant crystal. The general variant crystal can be used to change the gate variant to default. Check Stargate variants for specific variant crystals.

It is planned to distinguish the variant crystals for different Stargates.
